Which Should You Choose: Group Workouts Or Individual?

You might have heard the old adage "you are the company you keep." Well, that's definitely true when it comes to fitness. You are much more likely to stick with your workouts if you're surrounded by like-minded people. But is a group workout class really for you? In this article, we'll explore both options and help you decide which is a better fit for you.


There are plenty of reasons to love group workouts. They’re often more affordable than one-on-one personal training sessions, and they can be a great way to meet new people and make friends. Many people find that working out with a group is more motivating than working out alone, and it can be fun to have someone to chat with while you’re sweating it out.


On the other hand, there are also some downsides to group workouts. If you’re shy or introverted, you might feel uncomfortable working out in a group setting. You might also feel like you’re not getting the attention you need from the instructor if you have questions or need help with form. And if you’re trying to lose weight or get in shape, you might feel self-conscious working out alongside people who are already in great shape.


So which is right for you? Ultimately, it depends on your personality and your goals. If you’re looking for accountability and motivation, a group workout might be the way to go. But if you prefer solitude or want to focus on specific goals, individual training might be a better option.



There are many benefits to working out by yourself. You can go at your own pace, choose your own exercises, and take as much or as little time as you want. You don’t have to worry about keeping up with anyone else, and you can focus on your own form and technique.


However, there are also some downsides to working out alone. It can be easy to get bored with your routine, and it’s harder to push yourself when there’s no one else around to motivate you. You also miss out on the social aspects of working out with others.


So, which is the right choice for you? It depends on your personality and goals. If you’re the type of person who likes variety and enjoys being around others, group workouts may be a better fit. If you prefer to go at your own pace and have more control over your workout, individual workouts may be a better option.



There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to choosing between group workouts and individual ones. It all depends on your own preferences and what works better for you. If you enjoy the social aspect of working out with others, then group workouts are definitely the way to go. However, if you prefer to have more control over your workout routine and don't mind working out alone, then individual workouts may be a better fit for you.


I personally enjoy to mix it up - I enjoy training alone because it meets my goals, fits my routine and can be done at home anytime, and I do enjoy the occasional group classes as well - it's a different energy to be in a room full of people working out to the same music with the same goal and discipline, the energy is contagious. I do recommend trying out multiple group workout classes before you cancel it out completely because every group class has a different trainer, energy, type of workout and overall vibe.


Whichever option you choose, just make sure that you're getting the most out of your workout by doing something that you enjoy.
